Haiti - Japan : Launch of construction works for 12 new fundamental schools

Thursday, November 29 in Cité Silence (Center), as part of the implementation of a project of the Government, via the Ministry of Education, took place the ceremony laying the foundation stone of the construction works of 12 new fundamental schools in the departments of the Center (10 schools) and Artibonite (2 schools), financed by the Japanese cooperation and aimed at promoting access to quality education for Haitian children These schools are part of the Head of State's vision and promise to endow the country with more than 15,000 new classrooms by the end of its mandate, said Meniol Jeune, the Director General of the Ministry. who hailed the support of the Japanese Cooperation which will allow the enlargement of the school park in Haiti. In his speech, Taisei Inoue, the Representative of the Embassy of Japan reiterated the commitment of the Japanese Government alongside that of the Republic of Haiti, to continue to support the country, particularly in the education sector.
