The Statistics and Informatics Unit (USAI) of the Ministry of Agriculture this week organized its second open day on agricultural statistics.

The objective of this activity was to share agricultural information reflections with a public composed of terminal students, Ministry employees and technical and financial partners.

Jobert C. Angrand, the Minister of Agriculture recalled that this day allowed to present the results of recent studies in the sector and better know the USAI responsible for the production and analysis of agricultural statistics and finally expand the network of their use and make known the products and services offered by this unit.

Taking into account the difficulties faced by the USAI and aware of the importance of statistics in monitoring and evaluation in the implementation of policies and strategies in the agricultural sector, Minister Angrand promised to continue strengthening this unit in order to obtain the best results possible.
