Haiti - NOTICE : Reduction of electricity in Port-au-Prince, the EDH explains...

In a note dated Friday, the Electricity of Haiti (EDH) informs its subscribers in particular and the population in general of the metropolitan area that the decrease found in the distribution of electric is due "[...] to the a dry season that negatively affects the production of the Péligre station, of which only one out of three turbines operate every two day and the non-availability of the Carrefour I and Carrefour II power stations."

EDH assures that it has taken steps to "remedy this unfortunate situation" and assures its subscribers "that electricity production will increase substantially in the near future thanks to the combined efforts of its technicians who are at work."

Not an explicit word from the EDH on the shortage of diesel for more than 15 days, about to be paid since Thursday https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26687-haiti-flash-shortage-of-diesel-avoided-in-haiti.html that forced EDH electricity suppliers to reduce their production capacity by more than 50% due to lack of sufficient fuel available, because of rationing and black-out out suffered by consumers...
