Haiti - NOTICE : Pre-Carnival activities, advice to motorists in the capital

Due to the pre-carnival festivities organized on Sunday 20 and 27 January and 3, 10, 17 and 24 February 2019 in Port-au-Prince, Léon Ronsard Saint-Cyr, the Secretary of State for Public Security recommends to motorists to use only in case of emergency the major highways of the metropolitan area including the Delmas Road, Ave John Brown (Lalue) and the Champ de Mars area which will be occupied by the parade of DJ's and the Carnavaliers from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm The Secretary of State stresses "In order to facilitate the circulation, safety devices will be put in place all the way," and takes the opportunity to ask participants to "have fun in a healthy environment and avoid any form of violence and provocation."
