Diaspora Fridays

Mrs. Georgemay Figaro, the Director of the Cabinet of the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad, Mamatha Irène Ternier, organized a meeting with the technical directors of the Ministry as part of the preparations for the Fridays of the Diaspora whose official launch is planned Friday 25 January at the BRH Convention Center, Port-au-Prince.

1st National Forum on the Governance Pact

Yesterday Tuesday, Prime Minister Céant went to the BRH Convention Center in the framework of the National Forum of discussions on the finalization of the Governance Pact "The moment is at the listening of all sectors of national life in a sincere dialogue for the elaboration of a Governance Pact." Fuel, expensive subsidies

According to the Ministry of the Economy and Finance (MEF), for every gallon of kerosene sold at the pump, the State subsidizes about 56 gourdes for the final consumer to the companies and 63 gourdes for each gallon of diesel.

Opposition absent from the Governance Pact Forum

The Democratic and Popular Sector of the opposition did not take part in the meeting around the Prime Minister's Pact of Governance "[...] no opposition representative has been to this thing. Gérald Oriol Jr. honored

On Monday, Secretary of State Gérald Oriol Jr. was honored by The Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti alongside 10 personalities and institutions for their positive contribution in Haitian society. Gérald Oriol Jr. was honored for his commitment and drive to help people with disabilities enjoy and fully exercise their rights.

Ambassador Mitsuaki Mizuno is increasing his visits

Japan's new Ambassador to Haiti Mitsuaki Mizuno paid a courtesy call on Chancellor Bocchit Edmond. During this meeting, the two men confirmed their will to reinforce at the highest level the Haitian-Japanese relationship. In addition, Ambassador Mizuno also visited the Minister of Economy Ronald Décembre to discuss the current economic situation in Haiti.
