Haiti - FLASH : Naomi Osaka qualifies for the final of the Australian Open

Australian Naomi Osaka (21, ranked 4th in the world) qualified for her second consecutive Grand Slam final on Thursday at the Australian Open in Melbourne, at the expense of Czech Karolina Pliskova (26, 7th in the world), beaten 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.

In the semifinals, Osaka first had the hand on the game, leading to a set and a break (6-2, 1-0). But Pliskova, after having discarded four match points in the previous round, managed to equalize and it is her who got the first opportunities in the decisive round (three break points at 1-0).

About Karolina Pliskova, Naomi Osaka had declared "I've played her a few times I can barely read his service. She does not commit a lot of direct mistakes either, she does not get angry. It will be a good match," indeed she has demonstrated her superiority.

In the final Saturday, January 26, the Haitian-Japanese Naomi Osaka will face the Czech Petra Kvitová (28 years, 8th in the world). In case of victory, Osaka has the opportunity to become world number one.
