On the morning of Friday, February 22, in Fouchard neighborhood, at Carrefour Feuilles, unidentified armed individuals opened fire on all the people on their way causing panic among the population of the area. The toll of this savage attack is quite heavy at least 2 people killed on the spot Shinaider Mervil (25 years old), a security agent and Romane Lumain (40 years old) a motorcycle taxi driver whose passenger was shot and wounded as well as several other passers-by including a merchant according to the testimonies. The wounded were rushed to the hospital.

The authorities are currently unaware of the rashes of this attack on innocent citizens. However it murmurs in the population of the area, that it could be reprisals of the Gang of Savane Pistache, directed by "Ti Je" following the death the day before one of their members...

The residents of this neighborhooddenounce the rise of banditry and insecurity in the country and hope that the authorities concerned will take all measures to ensure that such acts do not happen in this neighborhood considered peaceful before this violent incident.
