Haiti - FLASH : Haiti has no more Government !

This Monday morning the Prime Minister Jean-Henry Céant decided to go to the Senate of the Republic for his interpellation session, around 11:30 am at the Senate level there were only 13 senators present...

While in the lower house everything was organized, 104 Deputies were present at 1:00 pm for the interpellation session of the Prime Minister. The agenda of the session was adopted by 88 deputies, 12 against and 4 abstentions. Without the presence of Prime Minister Céant, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies announced the continuation of the interpellation of the government. "The results of the session will be communicated to him," said Deputy Gary Bodeau.

Prime Minister Jean Henry Céant and his government have just been dismissed by the Chamber of Deputies. Result of the vote : 93 votes for, 6 against and 3 abstentions. A letter will be sent to the President of the Republic for the appointment of another Prime Minister.

"The Government of Jean Henry Céant received a motion of censure from the Chamber of Deputies with 93 votes in favor, 6 against and 3 abstentions," announced the Chamber of Deputies at 1:10 pm.

In the absence of a quorum in the Senate on Monday morning, Jean-Henry Céant could not benefit from 6 months of stay, by a vote of confidence.

Now a Presidential decree must appoint an interim Prime Minister, because Jean Henry Céant can not even liquidate current affairs.
