Haiti - Politic : Deputiues call for indictment of members of the CSC

Approximately "fifty" Deputies demand the indictment of members of the Superior Court of Accounts (CSC) for violation of the Constitution in the PetroCaribe file.

To this end, these deputies addressed a correspondence to the Deputy Garry Bodeau, President of the Chamber to take the necessary steps to allow the Chamber of Deputies to formally pronounce the impeachment.

Bodeau confirmed that deputies had put forward constitutional deficiencies in various cases dealt by the Court without further details or on the outcome of this request. Whose real intention remains unclear.

Recall that in the Constitution Article 186 stipulates that the Chamber of Deputies, by a two-thirds majority of its members can pronounce "the indictment of judges and officers of the Public Ministry near the Court of Cassation for forfeiture" paragraph (d) of Article 186.

In case there is an indictment supported by two-thirds of the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate will then erect in High Court of Justice to judge and sanction the accused if necessary. Those who would be sentenced by this high court will then be brought before ordinary courts.
