Plan International Haiti informs the Haitian population in general, especially its partners, that cases of attempts and/ or extortion by an ill-intentioned individual posing as an employee of the organization have been reported.

One of these individuals, who when he call pretend to be Doctor-Engineer or Agronomist Buteau, offers $2,000 for the seizure of data allegedly collected in collaboration with a hospital located in Beudet, Croix-des-Bouquet. These individuals then propose to pick up the person contacted at his home, in order to make a deposit in bank in return for the delivery of equipment necessary for data entry. People who fall into this trap are taken to a discreet place where they are then dispossessed of all their belongings.
