While the attention of most of us, is mobilized by the socio-political news, the Town Hall of Cité Soleil in spite of the tensions, took again the organization of its courses of catch-up for the students in class of official exams, as it has done for 3 years now.

Three categories of students are targeted: students in the 9th fundamental year (9th AF), the traditional Philo students and tyhose of the new 4th secondary (NS4). They benefit from free training with the necessary teaching materials provided by the municipal authorities to each of them as a pledge of his commitment.

It should be noted that the Mayor of Cité Soleil, Jean Hislain Frédéric, has been promoting education as a means of emancipation of youth as part of his Academic Excellence program, including university orientation, scholarships for excellence and other...

Mayor Jean Hislain Frédéric wants to boost young people to success despite their difficult living conditions and it is in this logic that he enrolls these remedial courses organized on two different sites to facilitate access to young people while ensuring that this initiative is inclusive.

Remember that this is not the first initiative taken by the Town Hall of Cité Soleil in favor of education, it had already granted scholarships to young people in the community, funded by the City Council and its partners.
