An earthquake of magnitude 3.3 on the Richter scale occurred at 7:34:55 this Tuesday morning 2km west of Bainet (South-East Dept.), 40 km south-west of Léogâne, 65 km south-west of Port-au-Prince, the epicenter was located at 18.176°N, -72.770°W at a depth of 15km.

The earthquake was felt among others in Port-au-Prince, Delmas, Léogâne...

For the moment, no damage or loss of life has been reported by the concerned municipal authorities or the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC). The Technical Unit of Seismology (UTS) of the Bureau of Mines and Energy (BME) has not yet reacted officially.
