Yesterday Friday, the Bureau of the Senate was finally constituted, here is the composition of the office with a term of one year. Unsurprisingly Rodolphe Joazile of INITE has been appointed as president in replacement of Kély Clédor Bastien.

Rodolphe Joazile (INITE), the president of the Bureau of Senate and Sorel Jacinthe (INITE) president of the Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies will have to discuss with President Martelly of choice of the Prime Minister. Monday will open the first ordinary session of the 49th Legislature during a session in the National Assembly which will bring together Deputies and Senators. Then the two chambers will have, separately, to examine the amendments of the constitution, a process that must be completed before May 9, 2011.

(1) The Treasurer of parliamentary assemblies (questeurs) exert wide powers in financial, accounting and administrative matters within the autonomy of management of the Assembly.
