Haiti - Social : The office of the Deputy of St. Marc ransacked and looted

Friday in St. Marc, more than a thousand protesters of the radical opposition, hostile to the government, have walked the streets of the city, protesting against the expensive cost of life, corruption and demanding the resignation of the Head of State.

Barricades of inflamed tires were erected on the main arteries, which greatly disrupted traffic. All activities were paralyzed in Saint-Marc, businesses, schools, private and public institutions kept their doors closed and public transport was non-existent...

In the early afternoon highly motivated and violent "protesters" on the road to Pivert invaded the office of Deputy Samuel d'Haïti and ransacked the premises, throwing the furniture out the windows before setting them on fire on the street...

The unidentified individuals, the perpetrators of this act of vandalism, fled with documents and kits to be distributed to students in the district...
