Haiti - Santiago : Death of Eddy Joseph, Condolences of the Consulate

Following the discovery of the lifeless body, of a young Haitian identified as Eddy Joseph, aged 19, found hanged on a tree with his hands tied in a cane field in Montellano in the Province of Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29188-haiti-flash-dr-a-young-haitian-found-hanged-on-a-tree-hands-tied.html , the Consulate General of Haiti in Santiago in the Dominican Republic dispatched a representative of its Migrants Service, to the "Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Forenses" (INACIF) and the Homicide Department of the city of Santiago to try to obtain more information...

Extract odf Statement of the Consulate :

"According to preliminary information, the incident occurred on the evening of 30 October and the body of the victim, 19-year-old Eddy Joseph, was found on Thursday 31 October.

The Dominican authorities promise to shed light on this tragic death and to take all the necessary measures, if necessary.

The Consulate, while deploring this moving act that once again strikes the Haitian community, takes this opportunity to offer its sympathies and sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.

The Consulate General of Haiti in Santiago, Dominican Republic takes this opportunity to remind Haitian nationals of its jurisdiction that the emergency number of the Migrants Service is available 24/24: (809)-671-4526 Nimewo sila disponib chak jou, Mesi !"
