Haiti - FLASH : Delta Airlines will permanently stop serving Haiti

SkyTeam Alliance, the second-largest airline alliance of 19 airlines, including Delta Airlines, after a decade of service in Haiti, will make its final flight between Atlanta (ATL) and Port-au-Prince (PAP) on January 9, 2020 confirmed the airline.

Susannah Thurston, spokesperson for Delta Air Lines, said the decision was made because of a "moderate demand" environment...

Recall that Delta Airlines has been serving Port-au-Prince since 2009, when it began flying between the Haitian capital and New York John F. Kennedy (JFK). Its flights between Atlanta and Port-au-Prince began in 2012. Delta offered for teh last time a seasonal service between JFK and Port-au-Prince last winter, flights that ended in April 2019.

Four airlines : American Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Spirit Airlines and Air France, will serve Haiti from the United States after the Delta exit.

American Airlines serves Port-au-Prince Miami (MIA);

Boston JetBlue (BOS), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), JFK and Orlando (MCO);

Spirit from Fort Lauderdale;

Air France with a unique fifth freedom flight between Miami and Port-au-Prince.
