Rony Colin, the Mayor of Croix-des-Bouquets, learned with emotion the sad news of the death at the age of 54 of Laurent Margareth Michaud, Deputy Mayor of the Commune of Anse-à-Foleur (Northest Dept.) occurred on Tuesday, December 3, after a long period of fighting against an illness.

"She leaves behind two children and a saddned city. In this distressing situation, the Municipal Council of Croix-des-Bouquets presents its deepest sympathies to the bereaved family, the two children of the deceased, the members of the Municipal Council of Anse-à-Foleur, the employees and executives of the Communal Administration, to the population of Anse-à-Foleur, to the members of the Association of Mayors of North-West and those of the Federation of Mayors of Haiti (FENAMH), to all those affected by this departure regrettable and unexpected."
