Haiti - Security : Me Antoine Luccius riddled with bullets and robbed by thugs

Tuesday around 10:00 am in Tabarre 52, Me Antoine Lucius Deputy Justice of the Peace of Ganthier was shot dead by unidentified individuals while he was returning home on a motorbike.

According to Samuel Baucicaut Head of Communication of the Superior Council of the Judicial Power (CSPJ), the Magistrate Lucius was fatally hit by several bullets and the attackers after this cowardly and odious crime, seized his weapon, his cell phone, a certain amount of money and his motorbike before fleeing, letting part of the stolen money escape in their haste, which passers-by hastened to collect...

The forensic police went on the spot to find clues, for the moment, the motive for the crime remains unknown.

Me Jean Wilner Morin, judge at the Prosecutor's Office of Port-au-Prince and President of the National Association of Haitian Magistrates (ANAMAH) said that the police authorities are working on several tracks, deploring by the same ocassion that the Ministry of Justice does not allow judges to obtain loans to buy a car and be less exposed to insecurity, stressing that judge Antoine Lucius only had a motorcycle to move.
