Haiti - Kenscoff : Towards the construction of local sports infrastructure

Edwing Charles went to Kenscoff and Furcy this week to identify the interventions required by different play spaces in this commune.

Accompanied by technicians and executives from the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, including the engineer Gerson Edée, Coordinator of the Infrastructure and Installations Unit (UII), Minister Charles, visited the grounds of Guibert (Granfon) and Refuge (Souçaille) widely used by young people from 5 communal sections. After having checked the dimensions of the spaces and the possibilities they offer, the UII technicians plan to build nearby lots.

For the Minister who announces the start of work next week, this visit responds to the commitment made three days ago to assess the spaces and react quickly to meet the demands of the population for the benefit of young people.

To do this, Charles intends to draw inspiration from the African model in the field of sports infrastructure with little investment and the rapid construction of local courts, essential for the development of young people in Kenscoff.
