Haiti - Education : D-10, 15,452 candidates registered in the permanent bac

Thursday, Meniol Jeune the Director General of the Ministry of National Education at a press conference announced that 15,452 candidates are expected for the official permanent baccalaureate exams for the academic year 2019-2020 (10,587 in Philo to which is added this year for the first time 4,865 of the New Secondary 4) which will take place from February 17 to 21 next and assured that everything was ready at the level of the 10 departments.

Maxime Méberas, Director of Secondary Education, confirmed that the texts for the permanent baccalaureate exams were ready and hoped that they would be within reach of the candidates.

Renan Michel, Director of the National Office of State Examinations (BUNEXE), recalled that candidates will have to compose only in subjects for which they have not obtained their average. In addition, he specified that the notes retained for the participants in the official examinations in the system of the Ministry, will be valid only for two years. After two years, candidates who have failed to pass the tests will no longer be able to take the permanent baccalaureate exams and will be obliged to repeat all the tests.

Meniol Jeune took the opportunity to recall the usual instructions to be observed "Any candidate, caught in the middle of fraud, will be eliminated from the exam and suspended from exams for at least two years. No candidate may pass the examination center with a weapon. Formal prohibition of programmable calculators and any other communication device. Formal ban on the use of mobile phones by candidates, supervisors and supervisors. Whoever is involved in fraud, in the center or in the vicinity, it will be handed over to the judicial authorities for the necessary follow-up. Without special authorization, no one is allowed to enter the examination center."
