Haiti - NOTICE : Open registration for the ONA-Polis program

As of this Tuesday, March 3, 2020, the police officers, as well as the Administrative staff of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) can register voluntarily and free to the new ONA-Polis program available through all branches of the National Old Age Insurance Office (ONA).

Recall that the ONA-Polis program https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30145-haiti-social-ona-polis-a-new-social-insurance-for-police-officers.html aims to revalue the body police in terms of social and insurance benefits and the improvement of police living conditions.

This old-age insurance coverage on the basis of voluntary insurance will allow insured police officers to enjoy the same rights and privileges as ONA insureds, while enjoying insurance and civil pension, at preferential rates which will be granted to police officers considering their role in society.

Police officers or other PNH employees can choose and decide to take out voluntary insurance with the ONA by paying personally and monthly 6% of their salary. The counterpart of the 6% will be paid by the Haitian State, through the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Documents required at the time of registration :

  • Birth certificate (original and copy);

  • Marriage certificate (original and copy) or Divorce certificate (original and copy);

  • Birth certificate for minor children (original and copy);

  • A valid identity card;

  • NIF and budget code.
