In a joint press release, the Ministries (Culture and Communication; Justice and the Interior) inform the general public and cultural operators and of Rara among others, that, with reference to preventive measures relating to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, ALL cultural EVENTS on the public road are prohibited on the national territory until further notice. It is the same for ALL GATHERINGS in public places such as theaters, shows, playgrounds, etc...

The Government invites the population and cultural operators specifically to observe caution while putting into practice all the instructions of the health authorities. Every citizen has the responsibility to ensure public health by persuading family members, friends and neighbors to adopt the appropriate behavior to prevent the spread of the virus.

The Government recalls that the pandemic of the new Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a global concern which requires everyone's attention and requires a high degree of civility to deal with it.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, as of Wednesday March 18, 2020 47 people were under quarantine at home in Haiti, 1 suspected case and zero confirmed case.
