Haiti - NOTICE : The Embassy of Haiti in Washington closes its doors

The Embassy of the Republic of Haiti in Washington DC informs the Haitian community, friends of Haiti and the general public that following the evolution of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic and the number of infected people which is increasing https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30353-haiti-covid-19-daily-bulletin-march-24-2020.html , it will close its doors to the public as of March 25 2020.

This decision is in accordance with the instructions received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the recommendations and precautions defined by the American health authorities. As a result, the consular services of the Embassy will now be offered only remotely.

As of March 25, 2020, passport issuance requests must be submitted by email to: cons.wash@diplomatie.ht The turnaround time for these documenst will also be extended due to the reduced staff working on rotation.
