Knife attack against police officers

Monday around 2 am, an unidentified individual suffering from a mental disorder stabbed 2 police officers from the Canaan police station (commune of Croix-des-Bouquets). One officer was seriously injured and rushed to hospital, the other was slightly injured and was able to return to his home.

Wearing of mask mandatory

Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe said on Monday that "wearing a mask will be mandatory from next week" in Haiti, adding that the government plans to distribute it free of charge to the population.
