Haiti - FLASH : New protocol for the return of stranded Haitians to the USA

The Embassy of Haiti in the United States in Washington DC informs that instructions have been passed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to address the cause of Haitians who, following health measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus Covid-19, are unable to return to the country.

"To request a repatriation authorization, interested parties must provide the Embassy with a photocopy of the page containing the biometric details of their passport, a telephone number and their address in Haiti. They must also have a certificate proving that they have tested negative for Covid-19.

The Embassy once again wishes to express its condolences to the families of the victims of Covid-19 and would like to take this opportunity to reiterate a call for vigilance while many states continue to encourage deconfinement and the resumption of activities."
