Haiti - Reconstruction : The President Martelly to the gymnasium Vincent

The President Michel Martelly visited yesterday Monday, June 6, 2011, the gymnasium Vincent, heavily damaged by the earthquake of January 2010, as part of an assessment visit, in order to proceed with the rehabilitation of this center of the Romain street.

The Head of State, who was accompanied by Mexican Ambassador Luis Manuel Lopez Moreno, has announced that he will also make a parking on a land adjacent to the gymnasium, land currently occupied by victims of the earthquake. n this regard, he held talks with members of the committee managing the Gymnasium Vincent and representatives of this camp of temporary shelter.

The President Martelly said that he remained open to their suggestions concerning the place where they would like to be transferred. "I work for you, but you must give me your cooperation in what I do", he stated before several dozen of people who cheered him.

The decision of President Michel Martelly, to rebuild the Gymnasium Vincent, which was built under the presidency of Stenio Vincent, was loudly applauded by the inhabitants of the Romain street.
