Haiti - FLASH : Immigration rules about to change in Quebec

Nadine Girault, the new Minister of Immigration of Haitian origin, has just unveiled a 3rd version of the reform whose entry into force is scheduled for July 22.

This 3rd version modifies the Program which allows students and temporary foreign workers already in Quebec to gain faster access to permanent residence.

This reform brought by the Minister provides among other things: more restrictive rules notably on the required work experience and fluency in French; a much longer processing time for applications, and graduate students in Quebec must now have 12 to 18 months of full-time work experience.
