Sabotage at EDH

Rockefeller Vincent, the Minister of Justice condemns the actions of individuals who sow trouble at the Electricity of Haiti (EDH) and informs that they have passed instructions to restore order quickly and that the sponsors and all those who perpetrated acts of sabotage against the infrastructure of the institution. Minister Vincent is waiting for celeric and rigorous measures to be taken by the judicial and police authorities in order, on the one hand to protect the building and the installations and on the other hand to put out of harm's way all the troublemakers from whatever sector they may belong to.

Japanese Embassy closed

The Minister of Tourism talks with Sunrise Airways

Tuesday, Ms. Myriam Jean, the Minister of Tourism met the officials of the national airline Sunrise Airways. Discussions focused on the importance of airlines in promoting local tourism, flight prices as well as the difficulties experienced by the airline campaign during the Covid-19 pandemic. Investigation into the socio-economic impact of Covid-19 in Haiti

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP - Haiti) in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA Haiti) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Haiti has launched with the support from the National Food Security Coordination (CNSA) for a national survey on the socio-economic impact of Covid-19 on households in Haiti. Funded by UNDP Haiti, this survey aims to obtain updated data for a response adapted to needs and better planning of actions related to recovery.

The artists Jasmin Joseph and Frantz Zéphirin exhibit in France

Organized by the Pontarlier Museum (Doubs, France), in partnership with the Haitian Art Center, the Foundation for International Cultural Action in the Mountain (FACIM) and the Aix-les-Bains Museum; the Pontarlier museum hosts the work of the Haitian painter Jasmin Joseph next to the paintings of Frantz Zéphirin. The animal figures in these paintings tell a story and denounce human behavior.
