The Federation of Haitian Bars denounces

In its resolution 2020-05, the Federation of Bars of Haiti denounces the circumvention of the law on Legal Assistance operated by the executive and recalls the imperative need to install the Board of Directors alone able to guarantee the independence of the National Legal Assistance Council (CNAL). He asks international institutions to make their technical and financial support conditional on respect for the law and declares that, in this context, the President of the country's 18 jurisdictions will not participate in the irregular establishment of Legal Assistance Offices (BAL).

New DG at the Ministry of Public Works

In the official journal Le Moniteur #122 dated July 24, 2020, citizen Edouard Wilson was appointed Director General of the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communication. He replaces Vilma Max André in this position.
