Haiti - Economy : Working session between the President Martelly and the IDB

The President Michel Martelly, had a working meeting of several hours, Yesterday Saturday with Luis Alberto Moreno, President of the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB).

In this meeting, were also present the technical experts of the Government and the IDB, the meeting was part of the will of the Head of State to harmonize the programs of various donors of Haiti with the major priorities of his administration and the promises made ​​during his electoral campaign, among others, in the areas of: education, agriculture, reconstruction and job creation.

The two men reviewed the various projects of the IDB in course of execution in Haiti and discussed of the possibilities to direct some programs according to the major priorities of the Head of State. The President Martelly also insisted on the need to consider the needs of the population in the conceptualization of projects.

The President of the Republic, satisfied with the meeting, congratulated Mr. Moreno, vowing to continue the revitalization of the cooperation in order to revive the economy of Haiti.
