Haiti - Diplomacy : 3 new accredited ambassadors

Tuesday August 11, 2020 at the National Palace, President Jovenel Moïse received the credentials of Wen-jiann Ku, the new Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China). "During a brief interview, we reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries, including the cooperation ties that have united us for ages," said Moïse.

Subsequently, the Head of State received the letters of credence of two new ambassadors Jesús Valdés Peña (Mexico) and Ms. Yesim Kebapcio Kebapcioǵlu (Turkey) with whom the President discussed the prospects of strengthening bilateral relations between the two country.

The three new diplomats renewed the commitment of their respective countries to maintain close ties of friendship and strengthen cooperation between Haiti and their country.

The Head of State also reassured these ambassadors of his willingness to work together for the harmonious development of relations between Haiti and these three friendly countries.

After the delivery of their credentials, the three new diplomats made a floral offerings to the Haitian National Pantheon in homage to the Fathers of the Independence of Haiti. They were welcomed by Jean Claude Legagneur, the Director General of the Haitian National Pantheon Museum, who invited them to take a guided tour through the permanent and temporary exhibition rooms of the museum. It was for them the opportunity to discover the highlights of the history of Haiti.
