Haiti - Arms trafficking : Identities of traffickers revealed

During the first two weeks of September, at the Port of Saint-Marc (Dept. Artibonite), searches carried out by customs and police authorities led to the seizure of 1 container and more than 10 vehicles in which weapons and ammunition were concealed. The identity of some people involved and accused of trafficking of weapons and ammunition between the United States and Haiti has been revealed and transmitted to the competent authorities, they are : - Destiné Gerda (sender) living in Delray Beach Florida, United States of America, sent weapons and ammunition in a 2001 Nissan-Infiniti vehicle to Mesner Pierre Louis (beneficiary) living in Haiti;
- Jean Eddy Simon (shipper), living in Fort Myers, Florida, United States of America sent weapons and ammunition in a Toyota 4Runner vehicle, year 1986, to Louisaint Franky (recipient), living in Haiti ;
- Joël Yves Edouard Lapaix (shipper), living in West Palm Beach, Florida, United States of America shipped weapons and ammunition, in a 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara vehicle, to Héros Métélus and Evans Moreau (recipients ) living in Haiti;
- Johnny Roodny Hypolite (sender), living in West Palm Beach Florida, United States of America sent weapons and ammunition, in a Suzuki Grand Vitara year 2000 vehicle, to Nathalie Ostin (beneficiary) living in Haiti ;
- Louidor Blaise (shipper), living in Boynton Beach Florida, United States of America, shipped weapons and ammunition in a Nissan Xterra brand vehicle, year 2000, to Rolex Pierre (recipient) living in Haiti;
- Raymond Joseph (sender) living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States of America sent firearms and ammunition in a Toyota Rav4 vehicle, year 2002, to Alourdes Nordelus (beneficiary), living in Haiti.
