On Tuesday President Jovenel Moïse announced "The competent authorities are working to achieve, as soon as possible, a downward adjustment in the price of petroleum products at the pump.

The Haitian State will do everything in its power to apply, in its entirety, the law of March 9, 1995, relating to petroleum products. For this purpose, prices must be displayed according to fluctuations in the international market.

At each arrival, the population will be informed, through the Ministry of the Economy and Finance [...]"

Tuesday evening the Head of State clarified "As I announced the fuel prices are going down. Gasoline will sell for 201 gourdes, diesel 174 gourdes at the pump [...]"

Recall that gasoline was sold before this announced drop at 224 Gourdes (-23 Gourdes) and Diesel at 179 Gourdes (-5 Gourdes).

Note that the price of Kerosene does not change for the moment and remains at 173 Gourdes.
