Limonade : Saint Anne's Church vandalized

During the night from Thursday to Friday, one or more unidentified individuals vandalized the Church of Sainte-Anne (municipality of Limonade, North Dept.)+ According to Gesner Dieudonné the acting agent of Limonade no valuables were stolen, the individuals smashed the statue of Saint Anne and did some minor damage before leaving the scene.

First sessions on Financial inclusion

This week Michel P. Boisvert, the Minister of the Economy and Finance, launched the first meeting of the Coordination and Monitoring Committee of the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion, in order to reflect and make recommendations on actions to lead in order to advance financial inclusion in Haiti. Points relating to access to financial services : digital finance, pension funds and insurance were discussed at the first working session which took place at the Antonio André Convention and Documentation Center.

Remarks by the Minister of Health

Within the framework of World Mental Health Day (October 10), Marie Gréta Roy Clément, the Minister of Public Health declared "A world without patients suffering from mental illnesses should be avoided. The lifestyle of our populations, particularly those living in the countries of our hemisphere, with social and economic problems that are difficult to solve, must lead us to invest more ourselves in order to offer them an institutional environment adapted to their preventive care needs and curative mental health," adding "Mental health is an integral part of health in general : there can be no comprehensive health without a component devoted to mental health."
