Haiti - FLASH : Sunrise Airways announces the resumption of Port-au-Prince / Cuba flights

The private Haitian airline Sunrise Airways based in Port-au-Prince announces the resumption of its air link between Port-au-Prince and Cuba, subject to final confirmation from the Cuban authorities.

Flights from Port-au-Prince to Santiago de Cuba should resume on November 1, 2020 with a daily flight.

The Port-au-Prince / Holguin link will also resume on November 1, with three weekly flights, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The resumption of flights using our 19-seater Jetstream 32 type planes, luggage is limited to 2 pieces of 15 kg, for a maximum of 30 kg, and one piece of hand luggage limited to 5 kg. No surplus can be accepted.

From December 1, the other Cuban destinations usually operated by Sunrise: Camaguey and Havana, as well as the Santo Domingo-Havana routes will also be put back into service and the routes provided on medium-haul aircraft.

Sunrise Airways is pleased to be able to reestablish the connection between the two islands after more than seven months of disruption, due to the Covid19 pandemic. Cuban and Haitian health authorities have given the green light.

All passengers with an unused ticket will receive information allowing them to reschedule their trip until June 30, 2021.

Cuban passengers holding a Haitian visa whose validity has expired are invited to contact the Haitian embassy and consulates in Cuba, which have put in place special measures.
