OEA : Vote against the elections in Venezuela

With 21 votes in favor, 4 against, and 9 abstentions, the OAS General Assembly adopted the draft resolution entitled: "The absence of minimum democratic conditions to guarantee free, fair and transparent elections in the Bolivarian Republic of the Venezuela". In practice, this resolution establishes a legal basis that serves to ignore the results of the December elections, which is in line with the American Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who explicitly asked the rest of the Nations "not to recognize the illegitimate elections in Venezuela, past or present."

Ambassadors of Haiti in DR

Known under the pen name of Josué Dahomey, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Haiti to France is a career diplomat who joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Chief of Staff to Minister Pierre-Richard Casimir. He then served as Minister-Counselor at the OAS, then in Brazil and France. Before embarking on diplomacy, he taught political philosophy, theories of international relations and the history of economic and social ideas respectively at ENS, INAGHEI and FASCH. A specialist in international cooperation affairs, he has also worked as an international development expert for IOM and USAID.

Installation of 8 new solar pumps

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP - Haiti) and the Ministry of the Environment are actively working to facilitate access to water in rural communities. Thus, 8 solar pumps will be installed in Aquin (South Dept.) And Baconnois. (Dept. of Nippes) with funding from the India-UN Development Partnership Fund. Almost 40,000 people will benefit from the project.
