Haiti - Politic : PM's promises to the Superior Council of the Judiciary

This week, Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe, held an important working meeting with members of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ), during which the urgent needs of the Council were largely addressed.

The Head of Government, undertook to address, as soon as possible, the grievances presented by the members of the CSPJ and relating, among other things, to health insurance, the financing of the certification of judges, the reorganization of the cabinets of instruction, the delimitation of the premises of the Court of Appeal of Port-au-Prince and the Prosecutor's Office of the Tribunal, to quote only those.

In addition, the Head of Government promised to look into the main problems facing the CSPJ, among others those related to better working conditions for judges and judicial staff, infrastructure, means of transport and the delay in the renewal of the mandate of judges.

At the end of this meeting, the Prime Minister wished to strengthen the relationship of trust between the three powers, with a view to offering quality and equitable services to the population.
