The President Michel Martelly has visited the 17th edition of Livres en Folie, to the Parc Historique de la Canne à sucre, accompanied by Didier Le Bret, the Ambassador of France in Haiti, the Mayor of Carrefour Yvon Jérôme and the Deputy Gracia Delva. This is the first time in 17 years that this literary event, receives the visit of a President of Haiti. The Head of State praised the work of the organizers and creators and has paid particular attention to Edwige Danticat, Haitian-American writer and his friend the writer Frankétienne.

On the sidelines of the event, the President Martelly has indicated that he was ready to designate a new candidate for the position of Prime Minister, without giving any clues on the person that he had in mind. "I remains attached to my principles and I will not abandon my principles because of the failure of Mr. Rouzier" declared the President for whom, the vote of rejection by the lower house, of his Prime Minister, is primarily, linked to the political attitude of parliamentarians. Before the relaunch of the ratification process of a new Prime Minister and the formation of his Government, Michel Martelly said waiting the formal notification of the rejection of the Prime Minister-designate, Daniel Gérard Rouzier, a notification who must be sent by Sorel Jacinthe, the President of the Chamber of Deputies.

After this first failure, Michel Martelly recognizes the necessity to first create a consensus in Parliament with the political forces to prevent a second failure and obtain a favorable vote.

This will to first, obtain a parliamentary majority, is definitely a step in the right direction, but no one can say that this "parliamentary consensus" will be sufficient to obtain a ratification vote, given the requirements and especially the volatility of positions of the parliamentarians.
