The French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the Inter-Agency on Research for Development (AIRD), the Embassy of France in Haiti and the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) have inaugurated this week in Tabarre (Port-au-Prince), as part of project PENDHA, the digital space polyvalent of the University Quisqueya America (INUQUA).

This space on the cutting edge of technology, equipped with 20 brand new laptop and a videoconferencing system is aimed to strengthening of the capacities of the University.

The project PENDHA (Plan of Digital Distance Education in Haiti) is a joint project between the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the AIRD and the AUF. It is intended to provide a significant support in the reconstruction of the Haitian University System, through: The deployment and management of a network of 17 digital spaces, including 5 dedicated to medicine and health sciences.

The digital space polyvalent of the INUQUA is the third of its kind in Haiti. As part of Project PENDHA, two other spaces was opened in March 2011, one at the University Quisqueya (UNIQ) and the other at the Higher School of Infotronique of Haiti (ESIH). Teachers beneficiaries of this training learn to build digital learning curriculum that will be proposed to the students on the internet.
