Cap-Haitien : 4 bandits killed by the PNH

At midday Thursday, 4 bandits were killed in Cap-Haitien, during an exchange of fire with the police in the Fougerolle neighborhood. They are said to be members of the "Agi Vit" Gang who took refuge in this area after the destruction of Chanda 1 and 2 neighborhoods where their stronghold was located. These individuals would be specialized in the robbery. Unconfirmed testimony claims several people were also injured.

General transport strike announced

Transport unions announce a general strike on Monday and Tuesday February 2, 2021 to protest against insecurity.

EDH apologizes

The Péligre dam will be shut down on January 29 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the reloading work, which is essential for stabilizing the network. EDH apologizes to its customers and reassures them that production will resume after 5:00 pm with a generator that will produce 18 MW.
