More than 35,000 Haitians intercepted at the border

General de Givision Julio Ernesto Florián Pérez, Commander of the Dominican Army revealed that since the beginning of the year more than 35,000 Haitians who have entered the Dominican territory illegally at the border, including 11,000 in the first 2 weeks of February, have been arrested thanks to military vigilance and electronic surveillance and returned to Haiti.

No case of cholera in Haiti for 2 years

Two years have passed since the last case of cholera was confirmed in Haiti in early February 2019. Last year, only 81 suspected cases of cholera were reported by the Ministry of Public Health and population, but none was confirmed after analysis.
