International Children's Book Day:

As part of the International Children's Book Day (April 2) Jean Emmanuel Jacquet, the Director General of the National Book Directorate (DNL) declared that in Haiti we had to tackle the problems of accessibility children's books, support young people and work to put in place adequate public policies that can boost the children's book sector. He believes that access to children's books and support for publishers and authors who produce these books are fundamental. "Through our various Reading and Cultural Animation Centers (CLAC) and municipal libraries, we are insisting on creating a special place on the shelves for children's books," Indicated Jean Emmanuel Jacquet.
