BRI patrol kills a racketeer

Tuesday at around 8:30 p.m., a patrol of the Intervention and Research Brigade (BRI) was the target of shots from unidentified armed individuals. The latter ransomed passers-by on Boulevard Toussaint Louverture near Universal Motors. During the exchange of fire, one of them was fatally shot and a 9mm caliber pistol was recovered.

900,000 Haitians will benefit from humanitarian aid

USAID is one of the partners supporting the World Food Program (WFP) in providing humanitarian assistance in Haiti. Since the start of 2021, WFP has provided emergency aid to more than 200,000 Haitians thanks to funding from USAID, i.e. 18% more than in 2020. In 2021, WFP is expanding its operations to reach 900,000 Haitians by the end of this year.
