Haiti - Reconstruction : Michel Martelly and his wife in Kenscoff

The President Michel Martelly and his wife Sophia Martelly, met Saturday with a peasants association to Lefèbvre [communal section of Kenscoff], to talk with the inhabitants about key issues they face and projects underway in this locality.

Accompanied of Senator Steven Benoit, the Deputies of Kenscoff, André Gustave and of Plaisance du Sud, Luberne Paul, the Head of State promised to the Association "Afè Nèg Coumbite" to support them in creating in the town and across the country, agricultural credit banks. Reminding them that they are the soul of Haiti, the President also promised to work to the power supply in the area, the opening of public schools in the in the commune and the creation of road infrastructure that could link the various communal sections.

Reiterating its promise of a free and compulsory education and of a State able to respond to the expectations of the citizens, Martelly President is committed to supporting all peasant initiatives in favor of development, as was the case in Léogâne for the launch of "Selil pwodiksyon agrikol (SEPA)".
