The National Research and Development Agency of Chile (ANID), through the National Advanced Human Capital Training Program Doctoral Fellowship Competition, and the Organization of American States (OAS), join forces to offer benefits for scholarship holders from OAS member states carrying out doctoral studies in Chile.

This benefit is available to nationals or permanent residents of OAS member states, (including Haiti) with the exception of Chile, as one of the objectives is to help foreign students to cover their installation costs in Chile.

The purpose of the National Doctoral Fellowship is to financially support doctoral studies in all areas of knowledge in accredited programs taught by Chilean universities. The benefits of the scholarship are for a maximum of four years, starting from the date of the start of the study program. In addition, this scholarship allows an extension of maintenance services, up to six months, for the writing of the doctoral thesis.
