Sunday, December 5, 2021, in accordance with the instructions of the Commander-in-Chief ai of the Haitian National Police (PNH) Frantz Elbé as part of the "Back to the beach" security plan, elements of several specialized units : Direction de la Circulation of the Road Police (DCPR), Intervention and Order Maintenance Corps (CIMO), Departmental Operation and Intervention Brigade (BOID), National Police Intervention Group (SWAT), Tourist Police (PoliTour), (Community and educational police (EduPol), Brigade against vehicle theft (BLVV), were mobilized to reinforce territorial units along the national road #1, starting from road 9 to the Côte des Arcadins.

Technical and identity checks were carried out on vehicles (cars, motorbikes, trucks, etc...) taking the national road during this day. The PoliTour and EduPol units were specifically deployed and assigned to the internal and external security of the various beaches in this region of the northern entrance to Port-au-Prince.
