In order to implement its program of free education, the Ministry of Education and the President Martelly have agreed yesterday Thursday to postpone the return to school to the second week of October.

During a visit in the town of Croix-des-Bouquets, the President Martelly declared "...This year it's not the whole country that will go to school for free, we have already identified nearly 146.000 children who have never attended school we will send them to school. We have also identified nearly 1,200 schools. We will choose 200 schools on this list and for children who attend these schools it will be free !"
