Friday, April 22, 2022 at 2:05 and 43 seconds in the morning, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale was recorded in Haiti in the Department of Grand'Anse.

The epicenter was located at 18,781 degrees North latitude and 74,080 degrees West longitude, i.e. 15 km at sea, north northeast of the town of Jérémie (Dept. Grand'Anse), 83 km west of Gonâve Island (West Dept.) and 189km northwest of Port-au-Prince (West Dept.), at a depth of 10 km.

No loss of life or damage has been reported so far by the Civil Protection in relation to this new earthquake.
