As part of the celebration of the 219th anniversary of the flag on May 18, 2022, the Embassy of Haiti in Canada informs the general public and the Haitian community in particular that for the second consecutive year, the city of Niagara Falls will pay tribute to the Haitian bicolor.

To this end, the Haitian flag will be hoisted on the mast of the town hall of Niagara Falls throughout the day. In the evening, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., the public will have the opportunity to contemplate Niagara Falls illuminated in the colors of the Haitian flag: blue and red.

The public is invited to admire this rare spectacle, either by going on site (local groups will be present to create the animation at Niagara Park) or by watching this illumination live by the camera of "Earth Cam" at this address :

The Embassy of Haiti once again thanks the municipal authorities of Niagara Falls who responded to its request to decree May 18 "Day of Haiti" in tribute to the anniversary of the Haitian flag.

This initiative, which is being renewed this year, reaffirms the quality of the friendly relations that exist between Canada and Haiti.
