Haiti - League of Nations 2022/2023 : Calendar of 6 matches and list of players convened

As part of the 2nd edition of the CONCACAF Nations League, our Grenadiers relegated to League B since the end of 2019 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29309-haiti-news-zapping.html are in the Group B alongside Bermuda, Montserrat and Guyana (English Guyana) following the draw on April 4.

Haiti will start the group stage on June 4 in the first leg against Bermuda.

The schedule for the second edition (2022-2023) of the Concacaf Nations League has been confirmed by the regional body for the three existing leagues (A-B-C).

Our senior Grenadiers will play these matches in two gatherings during the FIFA windows of the months of June 2022 and March 2023. Everything will be done on the basis of reciprocal visits (go / return match), 6 matches including 4 in June 2022 and 2 in March 2023.

Calendar of the 6 matches :

June 4, 2022 (first leg):

Haiti vs Bermuda (At the National Sports Center, Bermuda at 5:00 p.m.)

March 28, 2023 (return match) in Santo Domingo

June 7, 2022 (first leg):

Haiti vs Montserrat (At the Felix Sanchez Olympic Stadium, Dominican Republic at 5:00 p.m.)

March 25, 2023 (return match) in Santo Domingo

June 11, 2022 (first leg):

Haiti vs Guyana (At National Track & Field Leonara, Guyana at 4:00 p.m.)

June 14, 2022 (return match) in Santo Domingo

At the end of these 6 matches, the team that will finish at the top of its Group will do a double blow by reaching the first division of the league (League A) and also by qualifying for the Gold Cup 2023.

The 2nd ranked team will keep its place in league B and will play the play-offs giving access to the Gold Cup.

The 3rd in the standings will keep their place in league B while the 4th will be relegated to League C for the 2023-2024 edition.

To move up to League A, Haitian coach Jean-Jacques Pierre and his team made solid choices. Favorites in Group B, our Grenadiers have no room for error.

A preparation course will begin for our Grenadiers on May 24, 2022 in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. To this end, the national coach, Jean Jacques Pierre, has convened 21 players whose list was unveiled Wednesday, May 18 by the Haitian Football Federation (FHF). Note that Pierrot, Alcéus, Placide and Arcus are back but Nazon is absent.
